First Pages/ Opening Review
For writers who want feedback on the beginning of a project before committing to a larger edit. A good fit for first chapters, first 30 pages, query-adjacent questions, or “is this working?” support.
Beta or Critique Reading
For writers who want a thoughtful reader response, big-picture feedback, and insight into how the story is landing. This is useful when you need clarity, confidence, or a second set of eyes.
Developmental Editing
For writers who are ready for deeper structural feedback on plot, character, pacing, emotional arc, theme, or overall manuscript shape.
How Manuscript Support Works
1. You tell me about the project.
The basic things like title, word count, genre. But I also want to know about your goals, your worries, what you think is working or not working, things you aren’t sure of. I want to hear about your project as if you’re telling it to a close friend. Don’t leave out any of your excitement, your fears, or your uncertainty.

You do not need to have everything perfectly figured out before reaching out.
2. I review what kind of support fits best.
I’ll look at everything you’ve shared with me, including draft stage, timeline, and the kind of feedback you’re hoping for along with your requested price range and figure out what would work best for our time together.
3. You receive a clear quote and next steps.
Before any work begins, you’ll know what is included, what the timeline looks like, and what the project will cost. You’ll also receive some paperwork from me that will help protect my time and yours, and my goals and yours.
4. I read with care and return thoughtful feedback.
The goal of our work together is to make your project the best it can be through collaboration. Everything I offer is a suggestion. If it doesn’t work for you, let it be a suggestion. I do not intend to flatten your story into mine or someone else’s version. The goal is to help you see what is already working, what needs more support, and what the draft may be asking for next.
