Welcome to the House
Moon Moth Magic is meant to feel less like a marketplace and more like a well-loved house.
Moon Moth Magic is a home for stories in progress— and the people making them
Whether you’re carrying a manuscript that needs another set of eyes, a story you can’t quite untangle, or a creative life that needs a little more room to breathe, you don’t have to arrive with everything figured out.
Here, the goal isn’t to turn your work into someone else’s version of “right”. The goal is to understand what you’re making, strengthen what matters, and move forward in a way that still feels like yours.
Come in where you are. We’ll figure out the next part together.
Why Moon Moth Magic?
Moon Moth magic grew out of a simple belief: creative work deserves support that is thoughtful, honest, and human.
Writers are often told to push harder, move faster, build a platform, finish a draft, fix the structure, make it marketable, and somehow stay connected to the love of the story in the first place. That pressure can make the work feel smaller instead of stronger.
Moon Moth Magic exists to offer a different kind of support. A support that takes the work seriously without treating the writer like a problem to solve.
The aim is clarity, stronger storytelling, and forward movement, but also sustainability. I want the work we do together to help you understand your story more deeply and trust your own creative decisions more fully.
How I Work With Writers
I approach creative work as collaboration, not correction.
My job is not to take over your story or hand you a list of rules. It’s to help your see the work more clearly: what’s already working, where the reader may lose the thread, what the story seems to be asking for, and which choices are most likely to strengthen the version you want to write.
That can mean big-picture developmental feedback, thoughtful reader response, practical revision planning, or simply having someone help you untangle the knot without pulling the whole thing apart.
I value clear feedback, useful next steps, and room for the writer to disagree. You remain the author of the work. The goal is to leave you with more understanding and more agency than you had before we started.
Meet Bre
I’m Bre O’Brien Love— a registered nurse, writer, editor, and creative coach with an MFA in Creative Writing.
My work has always lived somewhere between close attention and practical care: listening for what someone is trying to say, noticing where something isn’t quite connecting, and helping make the next step clearer.
That shows up differently depending on the room. Sometimes, I’m reading a manuscript and tracing the emotional logic beneath the scene. Sometimes I’m helping a writer build a revision plan. Sometimes I’m asking the question that finally helps an idea click into place.
Moon Moth Magic brings those parts of my work together: story, craft, care, and a deep respect for the person making the thing.
The House Philosophy
Moon Moth Magic is built like a house because creative work rarely needs only one kind of help.
Sometimes you need the workshop: practical feedback, revision, structure, craft.
Sometimes you need the study: space to think, question, plan, and make sense of what the work is becoming.
Sometimes you need the lantern room: reflection, listening, and a quieter way into the story.
The point of the House is not to make every visitor move through every room. It is to help you find the room that fits what you need now.
You are allowed to arrive unfinished. You are allowed to change direction. You are allowed to take what is useful and leave what is not.
The work should support the writer—not swallow them whole.
Ready To Work Together?
If you’re looking for thoughtful manuscript feedback, creative coaching, or a more reflective way into the work, there’s a place for you here.
You don’t need to know exactly which service fits before you reach out. Start with what you’re working on, where you feel stuck, and what kind of support you’re hoping for.
We’ll find the right next step from there.
